Shasta
Adoption
Shasta is a captive-born female that arrived at the center in May of 2019 with her two littermates, Obsidian and Bridger at the age of three weeks. She is the smallest of the siblings and has a black coat with silver highlights. She can be fierce when food is involved, but often will avoid direct squabbles with her larger brothers. Her name comes from the Shasta Pack, which was the first wild pack in California in nearly a century.
