If wish to reserve a spot without a payment up-front, please contact us at [email protected] or call 406-646-7001 ext. 111 and we will get to you as soon as we are able. What are the expectations of the campers?
- Our goal is to have a safe and fun time!
- Parent/guardians may be asked to pick up their child(ren) early, without refund, if they do not respect themselves, fellow campers, GWDC staff or animals.
- Staff must be made aware of all allergy/medication needs in advance.
How should my child be prepared each day?
- Campers should arrive each day with a reusable water bottle, and appropriate footwear and outerwear for the day's conditions- some time each day will be spent outside.
- Campers will have a small cubby to keep items, but the GWDC is not responsible for any lost or stolen property. Please leave anything of high value at home.
- Snacks will be provided each day, but no lunch.
Can I pick up my child later than 12:15?
At this time, we are not able to offer any late-care past this point. All campers must be picked up by 12:15
What will my child be doing?
The schedule of each day will change a bit, but each day your child can expect to participate in a short outdoor activity, complete a craft related to the animal we are talking about, have a snack, learn about animal observation, learn from the Animal Keepers and Naturalists, help complete enrichment projects for the animals, and to have fun!
Can my child who is outside that grade range (1st-5th) participate?
We hope to be able to expand our opportunities in the future, but for this year we have this restricted age level to help facilitate a great learning experience for the kids involved.
