This photo was taken at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center and donated by Gretchen Heine. Obsidian is a captive-born male wolf that arrived at the Center in May of 2019. He has a black coat with silver highlights and is a little smaller than his brother, Bridger. He is named after the black volcanic glass that forms Obsidian Cliff in Yellowstone.

Inspired by my love of nature and wildlife, as well as my passion for crochet, this handmade blanket was crafted with care and attention using the reversible overlay mosaic method. ... Materials used are OEKO-TEX certified 100% acrylic yarns, making for a warm and cozy blanket. Color choices were inspired by the state of Montana. Total project time was 73 hours, approximate measurements are 59"x64".
