PHOTO POLICY

 
General Photo Policy & Guest Awareness

Thank you for visiting the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center (GWDC). During your visit you may be filmed, videotaped or photographed by a GWDC employee or contract service professional. Your admission to our facility serves as permission for use of your image by the GWDC and its constituents. Feel free to take photos and video for your personal use. Please do not try to draw the attention of the animals on exhibit.

The commercial use of film, video and photographs are prohibited without the consent of the GWDC.

 

Commercial Photography / Film / Video

For all film, video and still photography produced on GWDC grounds for commercial purposes, a written agreement must be entered into with the GWDC with the appropriate fee paid by the first day of the shoot. Two weeks advance notice is required.

FEES:

Photography

  • One day (open hours of operation) / $300
  • 7 days / $1500
  • 3 weeks / $3000

Film/Video

  • One day / $1000

* All fees include admission to the GWDC for photographer only

General rules apply to both INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP photographers:

  • You are not permitted to disrupt GWDC visitors in any way
  • Photos must be taken during regular hours of operation
  • You must not deliberately draw attention to yourself from the animals, influence or interfere with the behavior of an animal, or interfere with a habitat
  • Must not pass beyond public viewing areas
  • Must follow the instructions of staff while in any space around the GWDC if asked to stop an activity or move away from an area
  • Be alert to your surroundings, and allow others to move around you safely in buildings, at viewing areas, and on paths
  • Photos/videos taken at the GWDC cannot depict the GWDC in a negative light or to promote or disseminate images, messages, or impressions that run counter the GWDC’s mission or practices of animal care and welfare.
  • Sales of photographs or merchandise/promotions in conjunction with photographs taken at the GWDC cannot use the GWDC brand or name as a promotional selling device
  • The GWDC is not responsible for the loss, damage, or theft of items left unattended

If you would like to film, video or take photos at the GWDC for commercial purposes please submit your request with the following information:

  1. Your full name and business name (if applicable)
  2. Phone number
  3. Explain intended use of film, video or photographs
  4. How many days you plan for the shoot
  5. Email this information to [email protected] 

Your request will be reviewed and you will be contacted within 10 business days. If your request is approved, a contract will be signed by the participating parties and the fee will be due.

The GWDC reserves the right to cancel any shoot at any time if it is not in the best interest of the animals or visitors or is contrary to the GWDC’s mission.
