A new outdoor bear habitat is officially in the construction phase. We have been working on this project for several years and have continued to reach important milestones each year.
This new space will provide GWDC bears the best facilities we can build, giving animal keepers even more options for enriching the habitat. Ultimately, we will provide even more exciting and dynamic opportunities for visitors to observe bears engaging in natural behaviors - helping everyone gain a greater understanding of the value of their wild counterparts.
We are still in need of monetary support to complete this ambitious and much-needed project. We hope you will consider donating to this great cause.
Each species has their own specific needs that include: special diets, medical care, enrichment and habitat enhancements.
It costs approximately $70,000 a month to support all the animals that live at the Center. We strive to provide the best care available for each individual animal that lives at the Center.
Please consider making a donation that will offset the costs of giving every animal the life it deserves while in our care.
Choose a Species to SupportOne hundred percent of your donation supports our continuing effort to create compelling experiences for both the animals at the Center and visitors.
