The Living with Bears - "Easy Street" Trail is one of the many educational offerings at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. This is a seasonal exhibit that will take visitors through physical examples of what not to do when living in bear country. Many things attract bears to human areas, not just picnic baskets left out at a campground. Stop by the Easy Street Trail and see how everything from compost piles, bee hives, a chicken coop and bird feeders can lead to bears losing their fear of humans and coming into neighborhoods for their meals. The bears that live at the GWDC are here because of mostly preventable conflict with humans and our goal to keep their counterparts wild. Our hope is that you will take a way some knowledge of how to make your home and neighborhood bear-safe after actually being able to visible see how NOT to do things.
