Obsidian is a captive-born male that arrived at the center in May of 2019 with his two littermates at the age of three weeks. He has a black coat with silver highlights and is a little smaller than his brother, Bridger. When Obsidian is active, he spends a lot of time keeping an eye on activities of the other wolf pack. He is named after the black volcanic glass that forms Obsidian Cliff in Yellowstone. It is one of the most famous sources of the material anywhere in the world.
